are we?
mission
Écho Média is a Montreal-based television and film production company dedicated to producing rich, inspiring and entertaining content for a wide range of audiences. Écho Média also works to optimize the distribution of these projects on a range of conventional and digital platforms, and to promote their commercialization in the form of derivative products, live shows and various rights.
reach
As a partner to all of Canada’s French- and English-language television markets, Écho Média sets itself apart by promoting content in Quebec, Canada and around the world. Its productions are sold and broadcasted in over 175 countries, and often win local and international awards.
story
In 2012, Luc Chatelain acquired the film and television division of L’Équipe Spectra and founded Écho Média. Initially specializing in live performance recordings, then in youth and documentary content, the company gradually developed expertise in fiction, comedy, digital production and discoverability.
In 2016, Sarah Chatelain joined the company and helped structure its growth, particularly by leading brand development and their multiplatform rollout, including the revival of flagship franchises such as Toupie et Binou.
In 2026, she completed the acquisition of Écho Média, ensuring the company’s continuity while launching a new phase of development driven by an ambitious vision focused on creating content with strong local and international potential.
After months of work, an author reached out to me with the final version of her script: “Thank you. Thanks to you, I feel like I’ve written the series I thought I’d be able to write in 10 years”. There is no greater reward for me than these words.
